About

RecentDivorcee.com exists because divorce is hard, and you deserve more than a cold checklist and a stack of legal forms.

Our mission

We built this platform for recently divorced adults who need practical guidance, a soft place to land, and connection with others who genuinely understand. The tone throughout is β€œknowledgeable friend who's been through it” β€” warm, grounded, empowering, and inclusive of all genders and orientations.

Everything here points toward one feeling: β€œI'm not alone in this. I know what to do next. I've got this.”

Who this is for

Anyone navigating life after divorce β€” all genders, all orientations, all relationship types, with or without kids, whether you left or were left, whether your divorce was amicable or not.

You don't need to be in a particular place emotionally. A few weeks out and in shock? Welcome. A year in and ready to date again? Also welcome. Anywhere in between? This is for you.

Community Guidelines

The Community Board is a space for real stories. To keep it that way:

  • PG-13 standard β€” no explicit sexual content
  • No full names of ex-partners or children
  • No targeted harassment, doxxing, or identifiable personal attacks
  • No self-harm content β€” if you're in crisis, please reach out to the 988 Lifeline
  • No spam, promotional content, or links to commercial services
  • Legal and financial information shared as experience, not professional advice
  • Respectful disagreement is welcome; cruelty is not

All posts are reviewed before appearing on the board. Our AI coach provides feedback before submission; our moderation team makes the final call.

Privacy

Anonymous posts are truly anonymous β€” we set display_name to null at submission time and it is never joined back to your account in any public-facing response.

Reaction deduplication uses a hashed fingerprint of your IP and browser β€” no personally identifiable information is stored. We don't sell data. We don't run ads.
